Dungeons and Dragons Online is our game, our addiction--we absolutely love it, and we thrive on the friendships we have created in and outside of our guild. As much as the treasure hunt for the shiniest and best gear and the challenges of the hardest quests fascinate and excite us, without the social aspects of the game and the interactions it allows, most of us would not be as happy here as we are. You could say that we seek a balance between player personalities and skill level when it comes to choosing the people we hang out with. In our efforts to find a reasonable balance, we neither gravitate towards elite players with shite personalities nor to wonderful people who are clueless about the game. Proud of our guild and our abilities, we constantly seek to improve our gameplay, make new friends, and support others in their effort to learn the game and have a good time, assuming they show promise towards improving their game play. We are, for all intents and purposes, mostly elitists with a soft spot for our friends, and for those with common sense and the potential to develop their skills. We know there is always more to learn about the game, and we aspire to do so every day. Synergia was created in November of 2012, out of the active members of Single Malt Addicts, the first guild to reach level 100 on the Argo server, Fine Antique Legware, and Drunk with Power. Friendships forged in the past few years of playing DDO, and the courageous spirit of a number of players from each of these guilds made the merger possible, and we are excited to have old and new friends join us from other guilds since the merger, though we are NOT actively recruiting. True to the endeavor, we chose the name Synergia (Synergy is the interaction of multiple elements in a system to produce an effect different from or greater than the sum of their individual effects. The term synergy comes from the Greek word synergia...[...]...meaning "working together". [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synergy]). In the past, we offered a safe and caring home to elitists, wanna-be-elitists, will-be-elitists, TR fanatics, and a number of more laid back and casual players, who managed to remember that there IS life outside the game. However, after countless TRs, ETRs, ITRs, and a wealth of gear in our character vaults, many of us enjoy the privilege of running characters that can handle just about any situation in the game, and handle it successfully. We are not a guild of casual gamers; we take things seriously when it comes to having fun at the highest difficulty levels the game provides.
